Soul of the giant tree

Year 2021

Water color , Ink & Salt on 100% cellulose, cold pressed 300g/m2 10,5x15,5 cm paper.

To me it feels like the wind is directing the tree to move in a certain way.  The tree can certainly not leave its roots because its life is tied up with that. But it can move with the wind to give a purpose to its life and to feel alive. We cannot ignore where we came from and who we are, but we can always choose the purpose of our lives to give it certain meaning.
